Explore early questions, later questions. We’ll explore young experiences, present day experiences. All of those are what bend and shape our spiritual lives. Writing about them helps sort ‘STUFF’ OUT.
We’ll respect individual differences. When meeting with the critically ill and their families in the hospital, it showed how much, how imperative it is to listen. For writers, a must, for in the silence, wisdom blooms.
We put on paper (or screen) the facts of an experience and then ponder, “what did that mean?”
DISCOVERY ARRIVES IN THE WRITING: new ideas, thoughts…a new, perhaps somewhat different understanding than when we began. And so…
WE JOIN centuries of scribes who’ve written about deities and dogmas, experiences and faiths or beliefs and nonbeliefs.
Often PEOPLE with life-altering spiritual or religious experiences have reached lessons for living, often with a new freedom of self, perhaps a new confidence that they’re sowing the spiritual seeds that are a right fit for them.
And so they want to share. I did. A couple of out of the ordinary experiences with some not so ordinary messengers brought me to an awareness of my faith and its changing nature. Not theoretical but experience driven. And so, I wrote. Once published, these essays created a conversation (email) between myself and a reader, people of different faith backgrounds, people outside traditional faith backgrounds.

The spiritual life is an adventure, an adventure worth sharing, whether it’s about ourselves, another, a figure from history, a figure expressed in a future world. It’s an adventure expressed in poetry and prose, in fiction and nonfiction.
